*~ The Menger Hotel. Will you escape? ~*

The Menger Hotel
The Story
Your car breaks down when you are driving home from visiting family late at night. Fortunately, there is a hotel nearby, so you decide to stay there and deal with the car in the morning. This hotel is the creepiest place you've ever seen. Spiderwebs accumulated from years of poor housekeeping reside in the corners of ceilings, furniture, and doorways. A thick layer of dust covers everything like frosting on a cake. You make you way up to the front desk and ask the creepy receptionist for a room. He explains that the hotel's policy is that you must pay in advance for your stay. You agree to it, because it is late at night and you're tired, and he hands you your key. You go up to your room, and things get even creepier. The whole hallway has a strange feel to it, like you're being watched, and you swear as you look around your room, you see a dark figure running into the bathroom. Deciding that you would rather sleep in your car, you head back downstairs only to discover that you're trapped. You try all of the doors you can find, but they don't open. The windows are all locked also. You're stuck in the hotel. You decide to explore, and you realize that its almost as if the hotel is trapped in the old days. The only forms of electricity are an old television in the 'den' and a lone telephone at the front desk. All the lights are dim, and the tv is filled with static, which only leaves you to wonder if the phone even works. You slump over in a chair placed in the lobby, wondering if you will even survive this.
The Rules
- Please follow all site rules listed.
- Could you please not god-mod? It isn't very realistic, and this is supposed to be as realistic as creepy haunted hotels can get.
- No OOC fighting. It makes me feel sad.
- Can you please not write one lined post? I understand that writersblock happens, but if it happens in every post, I will kindly ask you to dismiss yourself.
- Refrain from insta-love, por favor.
- It's supposed to be creepy, and you can most definitely see ghosts, get scratches, have stuff fall on the floor when no one's by it, ect. But this is by no means paranormal activity. I just ask that you don't have random gusts of wind breaking people's bones, or dragging someone down the stairs.
- Fades to black. Self-explanatory.
- I would prefer if you included a picture with you character form, but a detailed description would work also.
- This is just for fun. Don't get butthurt if your character doesn't 'get with' the person you wanted him/her to. Please? For me?
- (Not really a rule, but) I apologize if any of those sounded rude. I most likely typed it in a sarcastic tone, not seriously.

Other Things
- You have no form of reaching anyone outside of the hotel, unless you somehow find a way to escape.
- The hotel only has a telephone for the guy at the front desk to use. Guests can't use it, or else you will be 'punished'.
- The television is your only form of knowing what's happening in the world.
- There's food, water, and other things you might need at the hotel.
- I can't stress this enough. You. Are. Trapped. Yes, you can go out in the front yard. No, you can not open the gate.
- Yes, you can open the gate from the outside. No, you can't open the gate from the inside.
- The only person that works for the hotel is the man at the front desk, whose name is Gerry. Which means you are responsible for making your own food, and cleaning your own room.
(Might think of more later. Keep checking, just in case!)

Flaws: Somewhat cocky, pervy.
Personality: Okay, lets just put it this way. He's like a five year old trapped in a nineteen year old’s body. He's weird, obnoxious, sarcastic, foolish and a real goof up. But he's nice, and loving. He love to love! He can get ladies, easy. But he chooses not to be a flirt. Although, when his pervy switch flips on, he can come off as one... But he's not.

History: Well, he came from a REALLY nice town in Oregon. Mansions, the beach, nice stores, nice cars, you get the gist. He had a great school life. He was popular, and he had a hot girlfriend, and stuff. But there was one catch, he hated (and still hates) his girlfriend. She controlled him, and he hated it. Hardly sober long enough to realize what day it was. He stayed away from us and we stayed away from him. Nothing too crazy. Shayfer actually started getting into a lot of trouble though and she might have stepped out of line with a few guys. That's why we left, but she didn't tell me the details. He felt very lost and frankly terrified in this horrible place that was supposed to be a 'hotel'. There weren't even any other people here! Only a hot girl by the name of Candi. He had already tried 'befriending' her, though she was only interested in getting back to work on some stupid skate ramp. He thought it was silly how she was completely okay with the fact that they were trapped in the hotel. Locked inside with no way to get out, no way to connect to people on the outside world, and no way of entertainment, besides things you would find in the 1800s. And he could've sworn that he saw a person standing in the doorway of the kitchen, where he was currently making a sandwich. Slightly terrified of where the lunch meat had come from, he stacked it on a slice of sourdough bread anyway, his hunger outshining the hesitation. After replacing the meat, he managed to find slices of cheddar cheese which he placed delicately on top of the meat. He put one more piece of bread on top of the stack, and smiled slightly, proud of his very own sandwich. He left it sitting there, as he dug around in the cupboards for the possibility of chips or something that he could eat with it. The whole time he had his back to the kitchen, and he felt as if someone was watching him, but he shrugged it off. He wouldn't be surprised if there were some ghosts at this place.

After finding pieces of plywood in the creepy attic, and a couple of rusted hand tools, she was pretty much set for life. Lucky for her, she had gotten trapped in this horrifically old hotel with her one true love - her skateboard. And with her previous knowledge of how to build ramps from a couple of pieces of wood, she could have entertainment for the rest of her life, if the board and wood decided to last that long. Sadly, with the rate that she went through skateboards, she wouldn't have this one for very long, and she would be stuck with nothing to do. Which motivated her to be extremely careful with her board, not doing many psychotic tricks and going easy. She reminded herself of that as she slowly made her way down the hallway with a handful of rustic looking wood and a couple of tools set on top. Forgetting that there was a rug in the hallway in which the door to her room was in, she tripped over the edge, sending the wood, tools, and herself all tumbling to the ground.

Bianca was stuck in this hotel with a bunch of strange people. She had already been here, but just in the shadows. SHe had nothing better to do anyway. She was down in the lobby, looking for documents at the desk. When she went through them, they were all in the old ages. Like 1800's. Way far from this time. Most of these people were dead. Not to be snoopy but ya'know, they had to know about this place. Putting the files back, she left the Desk and walked into the kitchen and seen a boy, well, best not to bother him. She turned away and walked out. She didnt want to bother him while he ate. And becides.. she didnt like really talking to others,.

Chaz: Locked in his room was where he spent most of his days now. Shay continued to look for a way out in paranoia and all he got was an old dusty room. Hugging his knees to his chest, he kept his gaze on the door in fear of one of the visitors he had regularly that even locks couldn't seem to keep out. It seemed as if they were harmless of course, but it still creeped him out. As soon as his guard had finally gone down even just slightly, something crashed outside his door. One of the other people no doubt, since the ghosts didn't typically make sounds like that. He edged off his bed and walked to the door, opening it to peak out at whoever was on the otherwise. It seemed to be a girl, one who had fallen of course, which made him feel rather cowardly and embarassed that he'd been expecting something horrid. Slipping out, he bent down and started gathering up the materials she had accidentally dropped. Of course though, he didn't dare to say a word just in case she didn't want to talk. Help, that's all he wanted to offer and if she was anything like Shay she wouldn't accept it lightly.

After excitedly turning around after finding a bag of Doritos, his eyes opened widely as he saw movement coming from the doorway. He had this embarrassingly extreme fear of ghosts, which just made the fact that he was stuck here about ten times worse than anyone else. He slowly opened the bag, cringing at the squeaking sound it had made before bursting open. As the nacho cheese smell filled his nose, he was able to calm down again, closing his eyes for only a second as he thought of his home. Nacho cheese Doritos were his family's staple. There were always at least three bags in the pantry, and in all honesty, it was the only type of chip that Jack would eat. He laid the bag down next to his sandwich, and took the plain sandwich in his hands. Chomping down on a corner, he chewed, staring at the doorway to see if any other movement would happen. He was tempted to call out for who or what had been moving earlier, but he was terrified of the answer. What if it was an angry ghost, trying to get back at Jack for taking the last slice of cheddar cheese? He shook his head to himself. That was a silly theory. There was nothing there. He was just letting his imagination get the best of him. He just continued to much on his sandwich, taking a couple of chips every so often to crunch on also.

"Ugh..." She complained, as she looked down at her knee which had been rubbed against the carpet a bit too hard, giving her a pretty large red mark, though she just figured it was another scuff to add to the list. She had been in far worse predicaments involving injuries before. This was nothing. It just stung a bunch. She finally noticed the guy picking up her things as she finished examining her knee, and her eyes opened up a bit, as she hopped to her feet. "Oh! You don't have to pick up the stuff for me. I got it." She pushed up her glasses to their normal resting place on her nose, and she ran a hand through her bangs to set them in their place before she began gathering the supplies that she had dropped. He still helped her though, and she just let him. It would get done quicker anyways. "Thanks..." She said when everything was finally cleaned up. "The name's Candace, but i prefer Candi. I would shake your hand to be polite, but my arms are a bit full at the moment," She laughed an airy laugh and shrugged, causing the wood to rise slightly to put just a bit more emphasis on the 'full arms' thing.

Harry was stuck in an old hotel. It was really creepy, and especially at night. He was staying in a room, but it was hard for him to even sleep the first night. He didn't even unpack when he first got here. He was too scared, and all he took out was fresh PJ's and some clothes for tomorrow. This morning, though, he started to unpack and put everything away. He took out his phone, but it didn't have any service, not even WIFI. He groaned, as he stuffed the phone in his pocket. He hopped onto the bed, and laid down. The bed was comfortable, but he didn't believe that he was stuck in a place like this. He even haven't met anyone else who is in the hotel also. He thought he was the only person. But no. He was sure that was other people in the hotel. They were probably scared. Or whatever. He looked around his room and it made him feel even more creepier.

Chaz: Standing upright again when everything was picked up, he smirked and nodded towards her comment. "It's alright, my names Charles, but I prefer Chaz. It's very nice to meet you Candi." Looking down at her knee, his smile disappeared and he tried his best to choke out words. "Is your, umm, knee. Is it alright?" What was wrong with him? Around new people he just, his words got mixed together. Mentally facepalming, he looked back up to her, keeping his eyes on hers. Hopefully she hadn't hurt herself, but there was plenty of time around here to heal and such. Honestly, he probably had a bandaid in his wallet if she required one because Shay always made him carry one since he was a child. Which was a ridiculous habit but he couldn't deny his sisters first aid knowledge.
