I need some opinions...

My friend is openly gay to people at school, but he is terrified to tell his parents... I just wanna know, how would you reacted if you found out your kid was gay (imagine you have them) and how do you think he should come out?

Honestly...I wouldnt want my kid to be gay..i wouldnt know how to deal with it cause im not them to change their sexuality

That's a hard thing to do, I've heard...telling your parents. Do you know how his family feels about people who are homosexual? Do they support it? Hate it? Or are neutral? My friend is bi and when her mom found out she flipped but then got used to it. I think it was the initial shock. You think you know your children so well so when you find out a secret about them, whether is it bad or good or big or small, it can freak them out. It's just a big shock. Maybe he can start giving some clues...not sure what exactly though but something to get them to at least begin to suspect he may be gay. I am very open to gay people. I support it, actually. I'm straight though as far as I know. But as I said, maybe drop some hints? Prepare a speech beforehand? Not sure how this would go over but what I, personally, would do is turn it into a joke. Try to lighten the mood. I'd stand in a closet then come out and announce I was coming out of the closet. Then I would gently ease into the speech. Hope this helps...
